Miracle Cure for Herpes!
and rapidly removes humiliating signs of breakouts ![]() Welcome to Skeptical Pharmacy Friday! I'll be your host, Pharma Bawd. With 25 million Americans suffering from oral herpes (cold sores or fever blisters) and about 45 million suffering from genital herpes infections, herpes is the most widely spread sexually transmitted disease in the US. Between 500,000 and one million new cases of herpes occur each year and the rate of infection is on the rise. There is no cure for herpes and the infection is lifelong. The huge number of people infected with herpes as well as the acute physical, emotional and psychosexual symptoms of the disease creates a tremendous demand for products that treat herpes. Big Pharma has responded by developing antiviral drugs that target the herpes simplex and related viruses. Unfortunately, this opportunity has also attracted less scrupulous operators who make bold claims and charge high prices for products of dubious efficacy. One of these is Choraphor. WARNING: Don’t spend another dime on herpes medications, lotions or potions no matter how slick their website or ads are until you read this life-changing message! What you’re about to discover is the closest thing there is on planet earth to becoming 100% absolutely free from herpes!
Chorphor’s claims: This is a pretty direct claim, do you have any evidence? No? Well, lets continue. P Most users report their outbreaks have STOPPED completely and have --never come back! P Users report if symptoms do reappear, they’re typically less frequent and less severe! P PAIN and HUMILIATING LESIONS VANISH! Choraphor speeds up the recovery process from outbreaks so you can get on with your life P Results seen almost IMMEDIATELY! (That's why this product is unquestionably the closest thing there is to a cure.) "Proven", "STOPPED", "never come back", "Results... IMMEDIATELY!", sounds like great stuff! Where's the proof? The evidence? The data? The independent testing? We already agreed there is no cure for herpes and Choraphor certainly isn't one either.
(All bold is mine for emphasis, words are all theirs.) They seem to make a lot out of that stinging sensation don’t they?
OK, just what the heck is in this stuff? Choraphor is an sulfate based solution with copper as a trace metal in an aqueous herbal base. It is applied to the site of an active condition. Choraphorcontains the herb St. John's Wort (Hypericum perforatum), ammoniated acid in deionised water. [Time out for a Moment of Science Laboratory Safety Advisory: Please watch this short educational film about combining acids and bases. Carry on.]
Oh, so now Choraphor is a molecule? I thought it was a solution. Do you want to know what I think it is? Let’s see, the St. John’s Wort and what-not are probably just that, marketing gimics. Then there’s copper, and sulfur, and the solution is blue. Could it be...
So, to the writers of the testimonials claiming Choraphor helped them, I suggest this experiment: The next time you have an abrasion similar in sensitivity and size to a herpetic lesion test Choraphor on it. Is the burning sensation the same/similar? Then it is unlikely that this sensation is do to Choraphor “destroying the herpes virus”. It is more likely destroying your nerves, or at least stimulating them to no good effect.
This is all very deceptive, many people infected with the Herpes virus report a decrease in the number and severity of their outbreaks over time. So with or without Choraphor outbreaks are likely to lessen with time, and occur with less frequency. Also, the idea that destroying some virus depletes some reserve of viruses hiding out in the sacral nerve ganglion is ridiculous. The virus, like all viruses, replicates itself during an active infection. It doesn't matter if a product could destroy some virus in the body, a single virus can replicate millions or billions more at anytime.
At $93.00 for a 12 mL bottle Choraphor doesn't seem expensive it is outrageous! Right now I can buy 50 pounds of dry copper sulfate for $59.99 on E-bay. OK so where is the Evidence of Choraphor’s effectiveness?
Wow a whole filing cabinet you say? Any clinical trials, or studies of any kind in that filing cabinet? You see the reason I ask is because herpes is self limiting. The outbreak goes away after a short time on its own, so users of your product may attribute the healing of lesions to the effects of Choraphor when, in fact, the infection has simply run its course. This is called confirmation bias and is the reason we can't accept anecdotal evidence like testimonials. And of course, what alternative medicine treatment would be complete without an endorsement by a doctor of naturopathy? "I have been in full time professional practice since 1984 and during that time have treated the herpes lesions on many occasions. Choraphor is by far the best herpes treatment that I have come across to date." -- Dr John Spurge ND. B. Com. Doctor of Naturopathy ND (AAI) Bachelor of commerce B.Com. (UNSW) The fact of the matter is, this product is a scam. Topical anti-herpes medications are largely ineffective. Yes, even the ones sold by large pharmaceutical companies with mountains of clinical trial data that prove their effectiveness. Just look at the package insert for Denavir, a topical product containing the antiviral compound penciclovir and sold by Novartis: “In both studies, the mean duration of lesions was approximately one-halfday shorter in the subjects treated with Denavir (N=1,516) as compared to subjects treated with placebo ( N=1,541) (approximately 4.5 days versus 5 days, respectively).” ½ a day. That’s all it gives you for putting the ointment on every two hours for four days. Yes, in certain cases, like on your wedding day, that ½ a day may be crucially important. But if a “proven” product like Denavir only provides this level of efficacy, how can a completely unproven product with a hodepodge of nonspecific chemicals do even this well at reducing the duration of an outbreak? Answer: It can’t. Therefore, using Choraphor to treat a cold sore you can expect it to take much closer to five days for the lesion to heal, like exactly five days on average. In my opinion, this product is targetting people who are having their first experience with genital and or oral herpes and are unwilling or embarrassed to visit their doctor for a prescription antiviral drug. This is unfortunate, not only because the product itself is highly unlikely to benefit the consumer, but because herpes is more than just an occasional physical disease, it is a psychosexual disease with occasional physical symptoms. Patients would be better served if both the psychological and the physical symptoms of herpes infection were monitored and treated appropriately by a physician. Choraphor is available from these and other unscrupulous retailers: http://www.choraphor-herpes-solution.com/index.html I would suggest either of these sites to learn about proven treatments for herpes: http://www.famvir.com/info/living/with/life.jsp Choraphor was not the worst sham herpes treatment that came up on Google but it was slick and the web site seemed professional enough that I’m sure many people desperate to do something about a herpes outbreak might be “willing to do anything” to make it go away. This includes spending their hard earned money on something that if they looked at it critically they would know better. PhB. The only blog inspired by a Bumper Sticker. |

post a commentThank you for that information. I needed to hear what someone else had to say. Steve
Thanks, good story.
From Thai culture I heard "bird" chillies (the small very spicy ones) are also supposed to help (put it on the sore).
I've tried and it seems to help when I combined it with a Penciclovir based ointment, but maybe also because after feeling the chilly burn like hell, you no longer feel the mild tingling from the cold sore. ;-)
That might also be the curing effect in this supposed medicine.
Always a great source for info:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herpes_simplex
I have tried every single med I can find for this stupid viruis... The BEST thing you can do is get a hand towl or wrag, and some extremly hot water. pour it on the wrag and basically wrap it around the effected area, leaving it untill the wrag cools off. Not only does this clean the wound a bit, but it seems to help in the healing process. Before I started doing this, the infection seemed to last almost 2 weeks. now they last a little over a week. NOTHING will work faster than a week, I dont care what they say.
It is obvious that you haven't tried Choraphor for yourself and MOST LIKELY are not even directly affected by this virus.
All your article exhibits is emotional story-telling and hype to give you something to rave on, complain and feel superior about.
You have provided absolutely no facts to the contrary that, believe it or not, Choraphor may actually be the next best thing to a cure.
I know for a fact that Choraphor is the only solution that ACTUALLY WORKS for many of us who are affected by this diease.
If you are going to be so outspoken on a product (no matter what it is) why not at least try it first. Do you review a book without reading it? You are so smart I am sure you do.
Choraphor is an amazing product, which I think will become the next treatment of choice for anyone affected by the herpes virus. It has been available online for over 9 years and has come with a satisfaction guarantee the whole time. The majority of leading treatments like the ones you mentioned would never dream of offering a guarantee. Also choraphor.com provides personal, caring service to everyone of it's customers.
You claim the product is a scam but have you tried it?
If you are looking for an alternative treatment which is proving it's effectiveness through out the world try http://www.choraphor.com and see for yourself.
great post. confirmed my suspicions and possibly prevented a total waste of time and money. provided a whole filing cabinet's worth of laughs, too.
I appreciate your article about choraphor as I have a feedback page from people that have actually tried the stuff.
I have always maintained that if somebody is going to try it not to think of it as a clinically proven herpes antiviral. Why? Because it hasn't been clinically proven to do anything for herpes.
I do know some people that have used it strictly for pain control while they are waiting for their clinically proven herpes antivirals to kick in.
As for wiping herpes out and the like.. there is no way to remove the virus from your body. Treating the symptoms is possible but not wiping out the virus.
Thanks for your article and your blog.
It's interesting that the two positive comments re. Choraphor were posted 9 minutes apart... good scientific review of one of the many snake oil products out there giving false hope. Thanks!

Great information. Choraphor is an amazing product, and Valtrex works well. Unfortunately there is no cure or vaccine for Herpes now, but I believe that there is a cure and that it will be found. Please visit my personal blog about it with H: http://www.positivesingles.com/blog/hgirlemily I hope it will encourage you too
I tried it and was disapointed, I used it twice a day for 2 weeks and found other then the pain that they claimed it did not do any thing!!! Normally it took 2 weeks to go away and using it it also took 2 weeks!
Its interesting that your "points of views" are based on your personal opinons and not on your actual experience with this product. I've used it three times and it worked great for me, so that kind of puts your prejudice theory out the window for me.
Try the product and then write a review, not the other way around. If it doesn't work for you that's fine but why write an article on something you have never tried.
It clears the sore quicker than I can hope for (overnight if I get it at the right time) and my outbreaks have been only two slight ones since and zilch since February last year.
Say what you like but I stand by it - it works for me.
I have had cold sores for over 9 years went to the doctor got prescriptions that are also exspensive also just about any kind of over the counter stuff I could find also expensive and they always came back about 2 years ago I came across Choraphor on the internet and I said that is alot of money but desperate I said it is worth a try what the heck. BEST DECISION I EVER MADE!!!! after the 1st use a cold sore that usually came once every month didn't come back for 6 months and when it did it was not near as big or sore as it use to be and a few months later another cold sore but it looked like a little pimple and now every once in a while I get a little red place that you would think is a little pimple and in a 3 or 4 days is gone In my case I guess it working over time I am still using the same bottle (almost out)I bought 2 years ago I use a little each time I even think it is a cold sore. This stuff has saved me alot of money on stuff that does not work for me and I can't tell you how happy I am now that I don't worry with a cold sore every few weeks. I say try it you will just waste your money on something else and still have cold your sore back on its regular schedule.
Yeah I tried choraphor. All it did was spread the virus around a bit more. Jesus what a joke. I can't beleive I waisted my time and money of this rubbish.
As to expense I found an alternative called O-begon for a fraction of the cost.
"I suggest this experiment: The next time you have an abrasion similar in sensitivity and size to a herpetic lesion test Choraphor on it. Is the burning sensation the same/similar?-Pharma Bawd"
I tried this, the effect is not the same, there was a difference.
I used to get 8 or so outbreaks a year (oral, thank god). It sucked. I bought Choraphor a few years ago. It might have reduced the severity of my outbreaks, it might not. Certainly not enough to write home about. The only thing that really works (for me at least) is daily acyclovir therapy. No outbreaks at all, but heaven forbid if I forget for a day or two...tingling sensation back in no time, five pills a day for five days, then I'm OK again. Good luck to everybody and let's hope for a REAL cure soon.
Make your own and save a bundle:
Choraphor/Dynamiclear/O•BeGon/EvrClr3 rely on the action of acidic copper sulfate which works by supplying an ionic shock that infected cells cannot handle.
Here are some ways to make your own, and you can make gallons for the price that some of these outfits charge for a fraction of an ounce .
To 8 ounces of purified water add 1 level tablespoon of copper sulfate pentahydrate.
Next acidify to a pH of around 2. This can be done by adding sulfuric acid until the desired pH is reached (use pH indicator strips), or by adding 2 level tablespoons of ammonia persulfate. Various combinations of acid and persulfate between these extremes will also work.
Apply a drop for a few seconds.
Ammonium persulfate: sold in electronic stores as a circuit board etchant.
Copper sulfate pentahydrate: look for Root Killer in the Plumbing Dept of your home store.
Sulfuric acid: available from auto parts stores as battery acid.
pH Test Strips: try eBay, make sure they test from down to a pH of 1.
Copy this to your pc, there are sure to be folks wanting to censor the information.
I had oral outbreaks as a response to various levels of stress for about 12 years. Used Zovirax topically, with limited success. Choraphor, applied as soon as the first blister appears, stops the escalation in its tracks and dries out the sore, so I'm presentable in public and the healing begins by the next day, rather than several days later. Severity, size and cosmetic impact are dramatically reduced. I tend to not heal surface skin damage terribly quickly, though I am fortunate in that I seem to be extremely resistant to scar formation, at least facially. Due to the reduction in affected area size and total damage to the skin, complete healing happens significantly faster than it used to. I have not been fortunate enough to have the cold sores shut down completely, but the frequency and severity of outbreaks has been significantly reduced, reversing the trend in those characteristics that drove me to try Choraphor in the first place. I'm satisfied and have recommended it. I will try blending my own, though will investigate high-grade sources of the ingredients, when the bottle runs out.

Here is something that worked for me. I have tried nearly everything including prescription drugs like acyclovir to no effect. Keep in mind that this is not a miracle cure, but it is something that dramatically reduced my breakouts and it is relatively inexpensive and easy to obtain. Oregano oil. You must obtain it from an herbalist, because the stuff you find in healthfood stores is nowhere near as potent. Take five drops once or twice a day with food for five days, then rest for five days. Continue this cycle for 3 to 4 months. I saw results immediately. Also change your diet, stay away from spicy foods, sugar and citrus fruit. Good luck.
Accept the facts, there is nothing to cure herpes as of yet. God is the only cure. Keep a nutritious diet, lots of water and exercise...Outbreaks will soon be forgotten!
When I first realised I had a sore down below, I really freaked out but now i'm fine a have a normal life two year ago t wanted die but now i want life Buy Valtrex
